Morey-Coffinet was established in the late 1970s by Michel Morey and his wife Fabienne. Their son Thibault, who took over in 2009, follows a long tradition of Chassagne-Montrachet winemaking. Thibault, known for his meticulous approach, adopted biodynamic viticulture in 2014 and achieved certification in 2015. The estate's 1er Crus wines showcase the essence of Chassagne, with whites featuring fragrant aromas and powerful minerality, while reds exhibit roasted, muscular notes and a silky texture. Thibault emphasizes careful vine management for complexity and stability in his wines, which age well with minimal SO2. The oak treatment varies each year to suit the vintage, enhancing the wines' vibrancy and energy.
