Maison Larmandier-Bernier's Terre de Vertus 1er Cru 2017 champagne is a 100% Chardonnays from the Les Barillers lieu-dit on the terre de vertus. This terroir is very special, at once saline, delicate and highly complex.
The 2017 vintage offers us a powerful champagne thanks to this year's sunshine, while retaining the characteristic tension of this terroir.
After 6 years' ageing, this Brut Nature 1er Cru champagne reveals white fruit and dried fruit aromas with a hint of spice. Well-balanced on the palate. Notes of citrus mingle with apple and pear. A highly original, parcel-based champagne with salinity and complexity, supported by pleasant freshness and elegant minerality. The finish is iodized and peppery.
This Terre de Vertus 2017 is the ideal start to a meal. With its great purity, it can accompany oysters, smoked salmon, and even rival a few thin slices of Pata Negra.
